Paul McCartney, Frank Zappa, Donald Fagan, Joni Mitchell, Led Zeppelin and Sparky (as in Sparky’s Magic Piano).

Who would you most like to have dinner with?
Lisa Simpson.

What did you do before you became a Mouse?
I was a Spoon, a Froon and I wish I’d been a Goon.

What’s your favourite food?
Sushi, profiteroles, mercury.

What’s your favourite day of the week?
Any day with sleep in it.

What’s your least favourite day of the week?
Any day without sleep in it.

What animal best reflects your personality and/or physical appearance?
Streptococcus.

What planet are you from? What’s it like there?
Zog. Blue, but not sad. The tunes aren’t as good but we have more notes and we can hear in UHF and can eat concrete whenever we like. Many of us come to Earth to experience the Northern Lights, Southend, flies and trifle.

What was the first piece of music that excited you?
The Little Drummer Boy.

The Beatles, Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Egg, Bartok, Delius, Led Zeppelin, XTC, Joni Mitchell, The Beach Boys, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Weather Report, Keith Jarrett.

Did your parents approve of your musical inclinations/ambitions?
They lost interest when I gave up the idea of a classical career at about 14.

What do you like to wear on stage?
Floaty things or chocolate.

What’s your greatest achievement so far?
The last song I wrote.

What’s your most embarrassing moment so far?
In recent memory, doing a show with Dannii Minogue and forgetting the song halfway through, leaving her singing a cappella for a while.

What makes you happiest?
Windows.

What do you hate most in the world?
Dust, Cables.

What do you wish for when you blow out the candles?
Hair.

What’s your most prized possession?
Marbles.

If someone gave you a hundred million dollars, what would you do with it?
Buy a private cinema with a sushi bar in it. And M&S plain chocolate digestive.
